The hardest part of any film is the first line. So don't start from nothing: start from something your child already carries.
Ask three questions only: who's your favourite character? Where do you most want to go? And what's a thing that scares you a little? The third answer makes the story — every good tale has a problem that gets solved.
Combine the three answers into one sentence: "(hero) goes to (place) and faces (problem)". That's your film seed.
Example: "Noor travels to a city under the sea and finds that the fish have forgotten how to sing."
